Some of the pages are in pdf format. These require Adobe Acrobat Reader or a similar program to view them. A free copy of Acrobat Reader can be downloaded from the Adobe website at
http://get.adobe.com/reader/
Clicking on that address will connect you to the Adobe web site. (You must be connected to the internet).
The Adobe download page offers to include in the download the popular web browser Google Chrome.

Chrome can have problems correctly displaying this website. The relative sizes of parts of some pages are distorted. Also with some of Chrome’s settings, updated pages may not be displayed.

The option to include Chrome in the download is ticked by default, and must be unticked if you do not wish to download it.

Pdf format has a number of advantages, including improved clarity for illustrations and maps, when you can zoom in to see fine detail.

On a pdf page, there are two scroll bars on the right of the page. The right scroll bar of the two will only scroll down one page at a time. The left of the two scroll bars will scroll up and down through the whole document.
